The move to dedicated software makes sense when a specific pain appears: more than one person needs to count, vendor order sheets are being missed or duplicated, a second location is opening, or the manager is spending more time computing orders than reviewing them. Those are practical triggers, not marketing ones, and if none of them apply there is no urgency to change.

A full suite with recipe costing is a different kind of decision. It answers questions about theoretical versus actual usage that a par-focused tool does not, but it asks for a level of ongoing maintenance that most single-store operators cannot sustain. Groups with a purchasing or finance person will get real value from it. Everyone else is usually better served by a tool that does pars, counts, and ordering well and leaves recipe costing for later.
